Earl Grey Cookies

I love tea and cookies, that’s why I decided to mix the two and come up with a new recipe for Christmas! I am really happy with the outcome. Give it a try and let me know whether you like them, too.

Ingredients for 30 cookies 

  • 2 tea bags of lose Earl Grey
  • 125g spelt flour
  • 3 teaspoons cane sugar
  • 75g cold butter
  • 4 teaspoons milk
  • powder sugar


Put the Earl Grey, flour, sugar and milk in a bowl. Mix it first with a dough hook then knead it by hand. Form a bowl, wrap it into film and put it into the fridge for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven at 200 degrees.

Spread flour on the kitchen surface and flatten out the dough with a rolling pin. Cut the cookies out and put them on a tray with baking paper.

Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Put them on a grid to cool off.


Once the cookies are cold, mix 7 teaspoons powder sugar with 1 teaspoon of water. Put the icing on the cookies, let it dry, done!
