Yes I know, there are overnight oats recipes all over the net! Still, I wanted to find out what the hype is about and whether they are really as good as everyone says.
As you might know by now, I am not a morning person and even breakfast preparation has to be quick and simple (because I am not very patient either). That’s why overnight oats are perfect for me.
Here is the simple recipe:
- 50g oat flakes
- 50g spelt flakes
- 1 tea spoon of chia seeds
- 2 tea spoons of milk (you can also use oat milk or almond milk)
- 180g plain yogurt
Mix the flakes and chia seeds with milk and yoghurt and put them in the fridge over night. The next morning top them up with fresh fruits. Enjoy!
PS: I think the excitement is totally justified! I will try some more sophistictaed recipes soon.
