Watermelon and chia smoothie

Do you know this melancholic feeling when summer slowly but surely comes to an end? Although it’s still August, the days are getting shorter and the nights colder.
To savour the last few weeks to the fullest I decided to stock up on plenty of fruits and to share my favourite quick summer recipes on the blog.

I’ll start the #summerextension series with this super easy smoothie, which only needs 2 ingredients: watermelon and chia seeds.

For 500 ml cut half a watermelon into pieces, put them in the blender,  add a teaspoon of chia seeds and mix it until it’s smooth. Done!

I love taking this drink to the office. It’s a nice change to water, tastes delicious and  is a good source of b vitamins thanks to the chia seeds.

Tip: you can easily prepare the smoothie the night before. Put it in the fridge and drink it cold the next morning.
