Carrot, orange, kale, lemon & ginger juice

Lately I have been trying to reduce my coffee consumption. I looked for a juice, which can substitute the coffee giving me energy in the morning and for the day. I found this cleansing juice on Ella Woodward’s blog. Although, it doesn’t look that delicious (thanks to the kale) it tastes very good and the ginger helps you to wake up!

Ingredients (for one large glass)

  • 2 oranges
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 big handfuls of kale
  • 1/2 a lemon
  • a knob of ginger about an inch long
  • Optional: one cucumber

Make sure to cut off the skin of the oranges and the lemon (the skin tastes bitter and it contains pesticides if you are not using organic oranges) and put everything through the juicer. Juice the kale at the same time as the oranges to get the most out of it!
